Women's Wellnest
Mobile women's health physiotherapy on the Sunshine Coast
In-Home & Clinic Care
I offer in-home and in-clinic physiotherapy to allow women the comfort and flexibility of being treated in their own space—especially valuable during pregnancy, postpartum, or surgical recovery. I find that care is most effective when it’s not only evidence-based but also personal, consistent, and delivered in an environment where women feel at ease. Being treated in one’s own space often allows for a different kind of trust and honesty—qualities that can be just as impactful as the treatment itself.
Whether navigating pain, bladder or bowel concerns, or transitions such as menopause or recovery from surgery, my goal is simple: to help women feel stronger, more in control, and more connected to their bodies—so they can live with more freedom, confidence, and ease.
It’s a model that’s hard to replicate—but for me, it’s the only way that feels right and it allows me to remain focused on what matters most: superior patient outcomes.

FAQS
I know that every woman’s journey is unique, and you may have questions about how I work, or what to expect.
If you can’t find what you’re looking for, please reach out — I’m always happy to chat and guide you toward the right support.
What happens during my first appointment?
Your initial consultation is a full hour where we take time to understand your story. We’ll discuss your concerns, health history, and goals in detail. If appropriate and comfortable for you, I may suggest a physical assessment. This may include the option for an internal vaginal examination – but this is always your choice and only done with your full consent. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of what’s happening, a personalized treatment plan, information about areas contributing to your story and written exercises or strategies to begin working on before our next session.
Do I need a referral from my GP?
No, you don’t need a referral to see me. You can book directly. However, if you are eligible for Medicare rebates through a chronic disease management plan, a GP referral is needed for claiming purposes. I’m happy to discuss your individual situation when you contact me.
Is an internal vaginal examination necessary?
Not always. While internal examination provides valuable information about pelvic floor muscle function, tissue health, and prolapse, there are many other assessment tools available. I take a trauma-informed approach and will never perform an internal examination without your full consent and comfort. We can use external assessment, ultrasound, observation, and functional testing as alternatives or starting points.
What should I wear to my appointment?
Wear whatever is comfortable for you. There’s no need for special clothing – your treatment won’t be limited by what you wear. For physical assessments, you may need to remove some clothing, but I’ll provide privacy and appropriate draping. For home visits, the same applies – just be comfortable in your own space. If we’re doing any movement or exercise assessment, loose comfortable clothing is ideal.
Do you offer telehealth appointments?
Yes! Telehealth is available for clients across Australia and works beautifully for many aspects of pelvic health care. I can teach you how to assess your own body in real-time, provide education, guide exercises, and offer ongoing support via video consultation. While some services like internal examinations and pessary fittings require in-person appointments, telehealth is perfect for initial consultations, follow-ups, exercise progression, and many treatment approaches. It’s a great option if you’re outside my local area, have mobility limitations, or simply prefer the comfort of your own home.
Can I attend my appointment if I have my period?
Yes, absolutely. Having your period doesn’t need to prevent you from attending your appointment. We can work around it based on your comfort level and what we need to achieve in the session. If an internal examination was planned, we can postpone that component to your next visit, or if you’re comfortable proceeding, that’s completely fine too – it’s entirely your choice.
There’s plenty we can accomplish without internal examination: discussing your concerns and history, external assessment of posture and movement, abdominal and breathing assessment, pelvic alignment evaluation, education about your condition, and developing your exercise program. Many aspects of treatment and assessment don’t require internal work at all. If you’re experiencing significant period pain or discomfort on the day, we can also focus on techniques to help manage those symptoms. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable, so please let me know your preference when you arrive or contact me beforehand if you’d like to reschedule.
